Sasashuku Sake Brewery was established in 1897. The brewery has been producing local sake for generations in Nishigamaku, Niigata City. The brewery still uses a wooden building with a history of more than 100 years for sake production, and part of the building is open to the public for sake tastings, tours of the brewery by appointment only, koji workshops and other events (reservations can be made via the official website of the Sasashuku Brewery).
Sasajuku Junmai Unfiltered Sake is a junmai sake made from 100% Niigata City-grown Koshitanrei sake rice. It is bottled without charcoal filtration and then stored and matured in a low-temperature refrigerator before shipping. It has a dry sake quality with an enjoyable aroma.
