Founded in 1904 in Otsumi, Nagaoka.
The brewery uses locally grown rice and fresh water from a side well in the mountains behind the brewery to brew sake with a focus on quality. The spirit of '100 bales of rice' by Kobayashi Torasaburo, a great man of Nagaoka City, is also reflected in the famous sake 'Yone Hyakudara'. This well-balanced honjozo is carefully crafted using local sake rice Gohyakumangoku.
