The Takano Sake Brewery was founded in 1897 in Nishi-ku, Niigata City, very close to the Sea of Japan. The most widely distributed brand today is Koshiji Fubuki, which replaced the original Shiraotsuyu.

Koshiji Fubuki Aka Foil is a refreshingly dry, light and dry sake typical of Niigata sake. It is a refreshing honjozo sake.
It is made from rice grown in Niigata and brewed with soft water, a technique developed by the Echigo Toji brewers.
It is characterised by its refreshing thirst-quenching and fresh aroma. This honjozo is a perfect accompaniment to meals and should be drunk with seafood from the Sea of Japan.
Winner of the Gold Award in the 2017 Heated Sake Contest. Even if you only drink cold sake, try it heated.
