The Imayo Tsukasa brewery was founded in 1767. In Niigata Prefecture, which boasts the largest number of breweries in Japan, the brewery is located within walking distance from Niigata Station, the main entrance to the city.
The brewery is popular for its daily tours and tastings of more than 10 different types of junmai sake.
IMA Oyster Sake is a sake that took three years to develop and finally perfect to pair with oysters. It has a sweet and sour taste like white wine and goes well with raw oysters as well as sautéed, boiled and smoked oysters. The robust umami expands the deliciousness of the oysters, while the acidity refreshes the palate.
The malic acid in the sake also has the functionality to help the oysters take in the nutrients.
The brewery's recommended temperature is 5-10°C.
