The rice used for this sake is specially cultivated by the Takahata-machi Sake Rice Study Group, which was organised by the Yonezuru Brewery together with local agricultural youth, including the brewery's employees. It is a sake with the flavour of rice, based on safety and security.
Mahoroba is an ancient word from Manyo, meaning a beautiful place to live surrounded by hills and mountains and rich in natural blessings. This junmai ginjo sake is made from rice produced by the Sake Rice Research Association in Takahata-machi, the 'Mahoroba no sato' (Mahoroba village), and is full of the flavour of rice based on safety and security.
