The family's sake is brewed exclusively from Shiga Prefecture's sake rice, which is grown using environmentally friendly farming methods.
Biwa-no-Mai 'Daiginjo' is a dry sake with a refreshing aroma and a light, gentle taste, made with yeast from Shiga Prefecture.
Cold to room temperature sake is recommended.
The family was founded in 1831.
It brews shiroki (white sake), which is offered at the Shinzame Festival and dedicated to shrines and jingu (Shinto shrines) all over the country. Every autumn it is presented to the Emperor of Japan.
In November 2022, the restaurant will be joined by the Kakuregura Fujii, where guests can enjoy delicious food and the rising sun in the east storehouse, which is designated as a national tangible cultural property.
