Founded in 1830 in the former village of Wajima, blessed with good water and high-quality rice. Wajima is the place where Ryokan Wako, a Buddhist monk, ended his life.
With the desire to spread the spirit and moral style of Ryokan Wajo, the brewery is characterised by producing sake with character and umami flavour, even in small quantities.
Waraku Motozon Ginjo-shu is made from 100% locally grown Koshitanrei sake rice and is a highly aromatic, mellow sake with a full-bodied flavour.
The traditional round label gives it a nostalgic, old-fashioned flavour.
The brewery recommends it cold to room temperature.
