Founded in 1643, the brewery is located in front of Tanihama Station on the Echigo Tokimeki Railway, with the Sea of Japan stretching out in front and steep mountains in the rear.
It is locally known as 'sake for sake drinkers' and is a dry sake with a rich, umami and sharp taste that goes well with meals and is not boring to drink.
Nohaka Ginjo-shu has a good balance of aroma and flavour, a light and refreshing taste, and is recommended as an aperitif, such as a toast. 15°C or below is the brewery's recommended cold temperature, but try room temperature as well.
